The Pouilly-Fuissé "Les Reisses" 1er cru is undoubtedly the noble terroir of Fuissé, with an easterly exposure on marl-limestone and marl giving very long, persistent wines. Very old vines producing very small, millerandage grapes.
Classified as "Premiers Crus".
TASTING NOTES
Harvested on limestone soil, shallow. Yields are low. This is a wine with very powerful aromas, fleshy always with a little touch of minerality.
EXPOSURE south-west.
VITICULTURE Manual harvesting Whole bunch pressing
VINIFICATION Vinified and matured in 5-year-old demi-muid for 12 months,
then 6 months in stainless steel vats.
