VINIFICATION
Gravity vatting, native yeasts, maceration and soft fermentation. Aging in stainless steel tanks for 18 months. Raised on lees, in barrels. Bottled without filtration.
SOIL
The soil is more limestone than in the east where clay produces the bigger, meatier wines of Pommard. Lescure’s vines are up to 65 years old.
TASTING NOTES
A very opulent and stylish Pommard with concentrated black cherry fruit and toasted spices.
