The Old Curiosity Distillery was founded in a barn full of curious things, set in the lowland of their enchanting botanical nursery nestled at the foot of the Pentland hills just outside of Edinburgh.

The Old Curiosity Distillery comes from a love of herbology. They grow, pick, dry and infuse all of the incredible herbs by hand.

They then harness the magical properties of the flowers and herbs through a natural distillation process, creating glorious floral gin that is 100% natural, with no additives, flavours or colouring, just nature distilled.

LAVENDER & ECHINACEA

DAMASK ROSE: LIMITED BATCH SECRET GARDEN GIN

The backbone for the case gin is Juniper and Coriander where the seeds and berries are lightly crushed, Angelica root and also the more subtle flavours of the Angelica leaf are used in conjunction with Winter Savoury. These four botanicals offer a smooth, elegant and light base gin it is to this that we then add the freshly distilled Damask Rose. This is an ancient and true Rose, highly perfumed and prized for its heady aroma for millennia. Once tonic is added this gin turns to the most powerful pink that brings the real colour of the petal back in a liquid form, truly a miracle of nature.

GERANIUM AND MALLOW: LIMITED BATCH SECRET GARDEN GIN

Juniper, Coriander, Angelica root, Angelica leaf and Winter Savory, these four botanicals offer a smooth, elegant and light base gin, it is to this that we then add the freshly distilled Geraniums – this is a plant that is so rich in aromas, with scents of warm tropical air, fresh green tea and floral tones. Then the hand harvested and dried Mallow flowers are infused, these flowers can only be collected when the sun is out and so opening the flowers completely (which in Scotland isn’t many days!) to give a nearly clear spirit which then turns the most elegant pink when tonic is added.
