CULTIVATION & VINIFICATION
The winter rains recharged the water reserves of the soil. The favorable temperature conditions led to a homogeneous bud burst. Summer was very warm and the heat slowed down the first phase of the veraison. These conditions were favorable to thicken the skin, to concentrate the grapes in tannins and the fast evolution of the pips. From July, a succession of rainy periods allowed to unblock the veraison. The merlot grapes were exceptionally good, for the cabernets, they were able to ripe in an optimal way with a very good quality of their tannins.
TASTING NOTES
On the nose, the wine presents a great finesse and complexity. It reveals ripe black fruits, tobacco and minerality. The palate is round, fine with wrapped tannins. It is fresh and powerful. A very beautiful definition and a great elegance. 2015 is a great vintage with a remarkable balance.
