CHARACTER AND PASSION

Aromatic and soft, intense and seductive, are the keywords of DEAU BLACK. The name BLACK refers to the colour of the glass used by the professional tasters during blind tasting sessions. DEAU BLACK is a blend of Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne cognacs. It is first aged in new casks and then matured in older casks less generous in tannins.

TASTING NOTE

On the nose, DEAU BLACK is very floral and aromatic (iris, violet, honeysuckle, orange blossom). To the mouth, it is typical of Grande Champagne, with round and dense flavours. It reveals a gentle bouquet of dried plums and very smooth aromas of preserved fruits that lingers on the palate, and in the glass. Delicious straight but also mixed with exotic fruit juices, tonic water and sodas.

About the Producer

Cognac is the most refined spirit in the world, and DEAU cognac, is at the forefront of this refinement: crafted, produced in limited quantity, housed in a proprietary decanter, it will pleased the most demanding connoisseurs for exclusive cognacs. DEAU Cognac demonstrate the know-how, the skills and the creativity of its Cognacs with this unique collection of masterpiece cognacs: a new breath in the very chic world of exceptional Cognacs.

DEAU Cognac is located in Sireuil (Charente, France), more precisely at Les Moisans, a hamlet constructed with the local limestone. For DEAU Cognacs, the wines are distilled in small potstills of 25hl, to ensure the highest aromatic concentration. For several generations, the Bru Legaret family has been owning a large vineyard in the heart of the Cognac region. Nowadays, both Véronique Bru Legaret and her son Roland Legaret preside the destiny of the Distillery des Moisans. Deau Cognac, despite their ability to innovate and bring fresh new additions to their collection, have in fact existed in the region since 1665. It was during the reign of Louis XIV that the Cognac Louis Memory was blended to as a tribute to this ancestor of the family.
